Rehabilitation

'Ability' is relative. Brian says we are all actually 'temporarily able' until we are (inevitably) 'disabled'. The only variables are at what point it happens in your life and whether it kills you (i.e. immediately).

Dancing is one of my favourite pastimes. I have learnt recently that it is also a good way to combine physiotherapy exercises and fun, because physiotherapy exercises are not fun. I call this Dance-Hab.

Dance-Hab is a fantastic way to make 'rehabilitation' more enjoyable, but you know it's equally fantastic even if you're not in rehabilitation-mode. Dancing makes us all feel better (remember you don't necessarily need to walk to dance). Dancing makes us all more 'able' (not everyone's restrictions are physical). You don't need anything (except maybe music) to start Dance-Hab - it's free and you can do it anywhere, anytime.

Can you imagine how shiny the world would be if everyone did fifteen minutes of Dance-Hab a day?

Take it from Jay-Z and Alicia: 'There's nothing you can't do.'
